Let’s Go! Back to Kanto
OK, so it’s not all brand new like a lot of people wanted, but what the heck. It’s a Pokémon RPG, and that’s all that really matters. Besides, Kanto is the bomb and Gen 1 is the best Pokémon generation. Go ahead, fight me.
The graphics look bright and sharp, pretty much in line with the direction the games have been heading for the last few iterations of Nintendo’s handheld platforms. Plus it connects with your Pokémon Go! account, so you can get all those sweet mobile Pokémons on your Switch. I’ll wait to see what the Pokémon list looks like before I freak out, but it looks like mostly Gen 1, which, as we have all agreed already, is the best.
Gotta Catch ‘Em All! With Motion Controls
New to the Pokémon series is a motion control to throw your Poké Balls using either the Joycon or the brand new Poké Ball Plus accessory. It’s a plastic Poké Ball that lets you store Pokémon from either the Switch or the Pokémon Go! mobile app. It sounds like it will be a lot like the Pokéwalker but fancier and shinier. Plus it comes loaded with a free Mew, so you don’t have to go checking under the only truck in the world to find it. So that’s pretty sweet.
Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu! and Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee! launch this fall on November 16.
