So you want to play the horse girl game but you have no idea what to do? Well we’ve got you covered here with a little introduction guide for new players as well as a few mistakes you’ll want to avoid early on.
Do not bother with spending your carats on characters at the start. This is an easy way to soft lock your account. Support cards are what make your characters stronger and if you only have characters but no support cards, your 3 Star characters will basically be at the bottom no matter how many times you play.
I played for more than a week before I even started using 3 Star characters because once I had enough of the good Support cards, the 1 Star and 2 Star characters were more than enough to complete the main scenario and get very high scores.
To get your account started, you want to spend all the carats on 10 Rolls for Support cards. You should get enough to do 4 sets of 10. This might drop in the future as game launch boosts go away.
You’ll probably get a bunch of R and SR cards out of your 40 pulls and if you’re lucky, you’ll get an SSR card. If you don’t get anything good, you’re going to want to reroll your account, which is easy and fast. At the title screen, click delete user data and everything starts over. If you skip the tutorial, you can do an entire reset in under two minutes.
The best SSR cards to look for are Super Creek and Fine Motion. If you can get both in a reroll, you’re set and can start the game with that. If you get just one or you’re lucky enough to get 3 or 4 SSR cards, that will also be good enough because you can loan out the one you need from people you follow.
Here’s a very helpful reroll guide from reddit that I used.
If you’re just playing to experience the game and you’re not going to be casual or put a lot of effort into the game, you don’t need to do rerolls but spending the carats on Support cards is 100% something that everyone has to do. Even the most casual of players will give up quickly if they spend everything on characters and then can’t even win the scenario once.
Once your rolls are done and your account is ready, we want to talk about the free 3 Star character that everyone gets. Again, this might change later on, but for now, everyone gets a voucher to pick whatever 3 Star character they want. If you’re a casual or just experiencing the game, pick whichever one you like the most.
But if you plan on putting effort into the game, save the voucher for a week or two. As part of the launch celebration, there’s a weeks worth of quests that reward a random 3 Star character. You don’t want to be unlucky enough to pick the character you like and then get that character again from the random pick.
As long as you have the right Support cards, you’ll be fine playing with the 1 and 2 Star characters until then. Use the random pick from the quests and then use the voucher for your favorite character.
Before you start a career, You’re going to want to go to the friends tab and follow people who have high level Support cards and characters that have a lot of Stars under Inspiration. When you’re ready to start a career, you pick the character you want to use, then you pick two legacy characters, and finally a deck of Support cards.
The legacy system is straightforward but also vastly complex. Pick two characters who serve as inspiration to your character. You want to pick them based on the stat boost that they give you as well as things like skills, sparks, and other boosts. You won’t have many options to start but will have more as you complete careers. You can also rent out characters from users that you follow.
When you’re doing a career, you’re going to be doing lots of training to improve each stat for your character. Each character requires different stats and has a different strategy. We’re not going to go into too much detail about each character here because it would take forever, but once you know which character you want to use, it’s easy to study what their most important stats should be and their other important factors.
You also need to focus on balancing rest, health, and mood while also learning skills using skill points. Stats are very helpful but knowing a lot of good skills is will push your character over the edge.
If you complete all the goals for your character, you enter the URA Finale, which is the only scenario available now. If you win, your character gets a bunch of extra stats and skill points. When your career is over, even if you don’t win, your character is given a grade and becomes a veteran, allowing you to use them in all sorts of races.
