I recently started playing Vampire Survivors, and after playing for a few hours, I became addicted. I was quickly able to figure out which weapons I liked and which ones I didn’t. I know most people would have already played the game, but I wanted to share what I learned with what I think are the four best weapons to use for early game progression.
The first weapon is Santa Water, which is my favorite of all of the early stage weapons. However, it takes take a little while until it’s useful. It splashes a vial of water on the ground and will damage enemies that enter the area. There’s lots of RNG at the start, but it becomes very valuable after six or so minutes when you’re crowded or overwhelmed. It creates a small death trap that kills multiple enemies at once and creates a path for you to escape.
King Bible is another good one because of the range. As you upgrade King Bible, multiple copies of the weapon will rotate around you and kill enemies that they touch. It does require some precision since both the weapon and the enemies will be moving at the same time though. But with good timing and movement, you can clear out enemies on all sides before they get too close.
The Magic Wand is another good one. It doesn’t have any crazy ability but it’s the best auto targeting weapon that you can get near the start. This weapon is easy to upgrade and will target the closest enemy. It doesn’t do anything extra and it’s not particularly strong, but it’s very good at fending off enemies that are too close for comfort. It works even better when paired with the next weapon.
The last weapon that I love are the classic whips. It’s the most basic of the early weapons but also the most versatile after you’ve upgraded it a few times. It only fires in one direction, but can be fired forwards and backwards once you upgrade it. It’s very good for multi target kills during the first few minutes but it will lose some usability towards the ten minute mark as enemies begin to crowd around you. If you unlock whips early on, they will be vital to your run.
